Where to start…I paid nearly £700 for the full package including the clean break. I wanted the whole thing out of my hands no paperwork or stress. I was told there was no more fees and I wouldn’t have to pay a court fee of £500 as I was on a low wage, what I wasn’t told was because my new partner was on a higher wage than me I WOULD have to pay the £500 court fee, I had to find this out through HMCTS myself! I had to chase quickie divorce constantly myself if I wanted an update or to ask when things were going to move to the next stage. There was no communication from them ever, and don’t be fooled when they say there’s no paperwork to fill in because there IS!! The clean break is a minefield….the clean break team live in some kind of parallel universe and never answer the phone….there is pages and pages of questions to answer and YOU HAVE TO DO IT it’s not done for you like quickie divorce advertise, the questions are hard and, if like myself you’re not used to legal phrases it takes up a lot of time, all they fill out for you are about 3 things….so what are you paying all that ££££ for??!! Oh and you have to pay another court fee of £50 and send it all off yourself by email or post. (If you do it by post there’s about 60 pages)! Quickie divorce told me the whole process would take 6-8 months, mine took 13months! If you can, do it yourself on the HMRC website. It’ll be cheaper!

Wasn't given the full costings until after I'd made the first payment, didn't hear anything for quite a while, so had to call them, had one quick call after ex-wife had returned paperwork but I'd already sent two emails to say it had been returned, hopefully now paperwork is with the court , I get more information on it going forward, now in my 20 week waiting period, why it's 20 weeks I don't know but there it is , there's no way it will be done in 6 months, probably more like 8 months, Though this company do most of it, don't expect to do nothing, I had to find out where my ex was ,then find out her address, which seeing as she's 120 miles away wasn't easy, especially not knowing anyone from that city , hopefully things will get easier now she has responded.
